MY STORY & PHILOSOPHY

Hello fellow candle lovers! Thank you for visiting my site.

 

 My name is Melissa and I live in Los Angeles, California. My journey to candle making is a bit by happenstance and one of the beautiful things that came out of the pandemic for me. Most likely just like you, I have always loved candles and good smelling fragrances! I began candle making at the end of 2020 while most of the city was still very much shut down from covid. I have been a professional dancer and choreographer for most of my life with the majority of my time being spent in the dance studio or traveling for work pre covid. When everything shut down, I was in need of a creative outlet! One of my friends had mentioned candle making a few years prior and it stuck in my mind. I figured while all the dance studios were closed, this was the perfect time to try something new. I found a candle making class offered over zoom and I have been hooked ever since! A few years later, I am grateful most of the dance studios have opened back up and I have returned to work. But, I now have a new and second passion in candle making that I am thrilled to share with all of you! 

 

As and artist, I love the creative aspect of thrifting and finding unique glassware then pairing it with a beautiful fragrance. I believe in using all natural soy wax which is a clean burn. Our world has too many toxins already, our candles should not be one of them. I am always trying out new fragrances so keep checking back as I will be uploading new designs regularly!
